Another Week And Fresh Snow In Thredbo

It has been a week since my last ski and despite two fresh falls of snow since, I have not been back up for another ski. The weather has not been conducive to getting me back up the Kosi chair. Alas, time is running out as the Kosi chair will be shut for 4 weeks maintenance from Monday.

Hopefully I will get out tomorrow before this weekend's Snowy Ride (aptly named this year ;-)

Grump Season.

I don't know if it is due to the lack of skiing or simply the rank stupidity, arrogance and selfishness of our politicians that gives me cause to pump out grump after grump.

So here is today's grump regarding the announcements about housing boat people in government owned accommodation in the Adelaide Hills.

Why is the federal government providing accommodation to illegal, queue-jumping, non Australian citizens before they deal with the homeless and less fortunate Australian born-and-bred Australian citizens who have far less than those who can pay tens of thousands of dollars to buy a passage on a people-smugglers boat to Australia?

We keep hearing about the long queues for state housing in NSW.

Charity starts at home - or does the federal government care more for illegal unknowns than its own?

How much more accommodation is the federal government holding out from the needy already in Australia?

Shame, shame, shame.

From that grumpy old man,
