All Padded Up And Waiting For Game Start

Yesterday started off clear blue and sunny. Coffee at Eagles Nest seemed like a good idea. It didn't take long for it to return to grey once again. Generally conditions are cool to cold with little to no wind. There is even a bit of old snow in the creek behind the bridge behind Eagles Nest.

The mountain looks ready for the winter season - except there is no snow (a minor consideration). The padding is up, the signs are up and even the ropes are up around the tree nurseries.

There is some consensus that a little snow may fall on the weekend but I'd rather get the last of our outside maintenance jobs finished first.

I wonder if we can get a repeat of 1992 (or was it 1993?) when the resort went from grass on the Saturday of the June long Weekend to one metre deep snow at the top of Gunbarrel chair on the Sunday morning? You've got to be here to get it.
