The White Room Without The Snow
As you would no doubt be aware watching the Olympics, it has been snowing around Vancouver continuously but not much here.
Although we had a 5cm fall yesterday (officially called 3cm) my powder tapes remain in pocket.
Runs below mid station are unskiable and upper car parks are closed as they have become deep, muddy quagmires.
I continued to get some freshies today by going out of bounds. Considering how tough conditions are, the walk out and the climb back was worth it but it is a sad world where everyone goes crazy over 5cms.
Meanwhile our ski bases continue to take a hammering with rocks spread around by groomers covering many thinner parts of upper groomed slopes.
Conditions yesterday on the slopes just above mid station were very reminiscent of the bottom of Crackenback when the man made snow goes off - way sticky.

Bumps building due to lack of snow
Marion loves Hot Sauce
Why not?
Marion with some of yesterday's 5cms
No it wasn't him. I'm not telling who owns the 4x4s
Ray today on the traverse to OB
Ice crystals to set up another weak layer
Today's fog - I'm told it is common
Rosco has left the office and should be southern bound by the time you read this.
I have a possible 7 days of skiing left. The Chooks and Mary depart in less than 48 hours without having had decent snow.
I'm quite looking forward to skiing in Thredbo this winter.
