Thredbo's Red Faces
This weekend turned out being the first completely fine weekend of season 2008. With only a hint of a breeze, the weather has warmed over the weekend. Yesterday reached a maximum of –2.1C while today hit an amazing +3.2C. Sunglasses and T-shirts were in abundance on the slopes. Sunburnt faces were common.
The grooming was great, the snow quality fine, although a little firmer off-piste than earlier in the week. I have spent my time in the resort skiing with friends and family who haven’t spent much recent time on snow and there was plenty to keep us entertained. Apart from first thing on Saturday morning after a dusting of fresh, the crowds didn’t reach the volume expected and although queues could be found, they could also be avoided.

There should be a few more days of fine, clear weather before the next cold front works its magic on Wednesday.
