Merry Christmas and a Whole Lot of Cheer
Good ol' Global Warming: it's cold and it's wet, it's almost Christmas and I love it. Most days this month have been typical mountain days: cool with misty clouds rolling in at some time every day or night. There has been a lot of rain throughout the region and the water level in Lake Jindabyne continues to rise. If you don't like the heat, this is the place to be.
The MTBA National Series downhill mountain bike races (mud bike series) were on last weekend. Heavy rain that started on Saturday night and continued well into Sunday caused some cancellations to the races.
The Kosi Express was closed for the start of this week in order to have a new section of cable spliced in. Snowgums was fired up again but today the Kosi quad is back online.
Lake Jindabyne regaining its water
Still has a long way to go
Spring rains have brought out amazing colours
Colourful weeds are doing well around the lake
The O'Donnell Brothers played Candelo Hall last Friday
Pat, Andy and the lads performed their own works
It was a small an intimate performance, enjoyed by all
Little sign of old snow can be seen from the village
Crackenback
Lush green on High Noon and lower Sundance
I wonder if it will snow on Christmas Day like last year?
Happy birthday Daf.
Dave and Penny are back from their honeymoon and Berty should be back in town this week.
A Merry Christmas to all. May your holidays be safe, happy and memorable for all the right reasons.
