Hanging In There
The weather was damp and windy into the weekend. It snowed on Monday morning and then it drizzled through until today (Wednesday). The winds dropped to a cooling breeze and the temperature rose above zero just before we caught the Kosi chair to the top. Sally and Richard joined Marion and I for a morning's exercise beyond the resort.
The new snow was, as expected, stickier than the red snow and was balling on the steeper faces. For the most part, the new snow had all but disappeared but in some protected areas I found small boot-deep drifts. Overall there was somewhat less snow than last week but more than I expected after all the rain we have had.

I have now equalled Rosco's 2006 season with 105 days on the snow. If lucky, I will get one more go before the Kosi Express chair closes on Sunday arvo for annual maintenance. The weather looks promising but I don’t think I will get to ski in December as I did back in 2004.
Snowy Ride is on this weekend with much leather and chrome on display to raise funds to help fight cancer in children. It should be a big weekend.
