Contrast Of A Few Days
While I was down on the coast (click here), Lynne was busy taking photos behind the resort after last Friday’s snowfall.
By Monday there was hardly any sign that new snow had fallen. Unlike the reports I heard of Saturday, conditions were soft and really slow and not good for skiing or boarding. We needed a freeze and our prayers were answered on Tuesday night when the temperature dived to around –6C. We were up on the early chair on Wednesday morning in brilliant sunshine and a light SE breeze. The snow conditions were simply lovely if not completely white. The snow was firm with a soft 1cm top and was fast and easy to make turns in.

There wasn’t much in the way of cold temps last night and now I must again await a freeze for good main range conditions. The forecast if for good weather over the weekend and hopefully overnight freezes.
PS: Have a great trip Lynne.
