No Fat Lady Yet

Skiing and boarding continues within the resort - Top to Bottom and Side to Side. I must congratulate KT for keeping both sides of the resort accessible. You can traverse from The Basin and Eagles Nest to Sponars and Antons. From Antons you can get to Merritts and then back to Crackenback via Conrod Straight off Sponars.

Basic learning has moved to The Basin, which means get your turns in early before ski school hits the T-bar. The Supertrail is an enigma. Early in the week it was the Bunny Walk and the Ski-In Ski-Out corners that were the weakest links. Today it is sections above and below Bunny Walk. Overnight temperatures have been high and the first tracks have been on soft corduroy that was unrecognisable after two runs. Antons and Sponars are good, although getting onto the Ts is a little thin. Merritts is in good condition albeit for the last 50m.

Crowds have been way down except for The Basin. Karels is still good and despite less and less grooming being done, the off piste has been enjoyable from first lift.

Blue skies were replaced with grey skies on Wednesday and although today started blue, big clouds have begun rolling in and the wind is increasing. We were spared last night’s storms and only 1.4mm was recorded at the top.

A big turdy brown star to the moron boarder seen relieving himself while riding Antons T-bar on Tuesday.

You can all stop panicking over the rumour of a virulent measles outbreak in the village. Wazza’s results have shown an adverse reaction to penicillin is responsible for his spots. Glad to hear you are not contagious.

There are blizzards forecast for Friday into Saturday with possible snows down into the village. We wait with baited breath.
