Moving Right Along
Finally we had a freeze last night and what a wondrous thing it was. The mountain staff have been working long and hard and performing numerous small miracles around the resort.
The Supertrail was a treat first up. There was the odd rut but the surface was firm yet not icy so you could hold an edge. Some snow was made on the higher slopes and there was even a trace of fresh natural snow. The wind was cold and the sky very blue.
Don’t get me wrong; things are far from perfect for this time of year. Click here to read yesterday’s report. The Basin was reopened today but is in fairly poor condition. All other T-bars are closed due to lack of snow. The swollen creeks did a lot of damage in amazing places. Late this morning after a lot of grooming (aka dam building and road construction), High Noon was reopened.
Also due to a small miracle, Playground on Merritts is open again and along with Walkabout is providing some respite from the closure of the T-bars. Friday Flat is holding up.

A few more cold nights should see more snowmaking and everything is now hanging on the forecast dump later this week.
We are looking at getting snow Wednesday / Thursday.
