It's All Downhill From Here
Last weekend Thredbo hosted the NSW State Series Mountain Bike Championships. Perfect weather still had some competitors complaining of being rather hot under all the body armour but with clear blue skies and a light breeze and an air temp in the low teens it seemed unfair to complain.
As well as the bikers, their supporters and families there were also 4 weddings reported to being held in the village, not that I heard or saw much of them.
Work around the village continues at a great pace. Otherwise the village is fairly quiet. The next big event will be Easter and the school holidays in a couple of weeks. First weekend in May is the Jazz Festival and then a short few weeks of quiet until winter. How fast it all comes back?

Even some staff have told me that they are “over” the perfect weather. We didn’t get the forecast rain showers (yet) but if the weather bureau has it right, those detractors will get their way on the weekend. Coinciding with the fact that I will be out of the village on Saturday, the bureau says there may be SNOW on the higher areas.
