Rain, Rain Go Away

Let the farmers, city and town dams have the rain. We need snow not tropical style deluges. We have had 130mm of rain since yesterday morning. It doesn’t take a wild imagination to figure what this has done to the base.

Monday and Tuesday were sunny and breezy with a typical spring snow pack of sugar on ice. The off-piste was mostly shut. Only the upper T-bars allowed you to go off the groomed but there wasn’t much joy there.

On Tuesday the traverse from Crackenback to Sponars was again closed and a ski patrol sentry made sure no one attempted to go under or over the fence. I didn’t go out yesterday (I’m not completely mad) and probably won’t today as it will be a sticky wet mess when not on the grass, dirt and rocks.

It is now snowing in the village. I’ll try to add another photo later when there is something better to look at.

Now updated at 2:47 pm.
