January

The weather has been a mixed bag of winds, high and low temperatures intermingled with a few rainstorms. Generally the weather has been cool and the flies not as bad as last year.

The wild flowers are continuing to flower and there is no snow to speak of visible from the village. The last drift on the Bluff gave up the fight last week but there are still drifts for snow play out behind Eagle’s Nest.

The Shakespeare on the Green provided good entertainment and the Blue’s Festival was simply wonderful once again.

School holidays continue for a few weeks yet and then things will quieten a tad. The next big weekend will be Easter followed by the Jazz festival on the first weekend in May.

I will be away from Thredbo until March so I guess there won’t be a February report from Thredbo.
