Sunday Sunshine

After Saturday's wonderful fresh powder tree skiing (the only place you could see), strong winds brought a sunny Sunday morning with 10cms of fresh.

A tremendous effort by the groomers left the powder fanatics searching up high for freshies which due to the strong winds kept refreshing themselves between runs. Groomed runs all over the resort meant that school holiday intermediate skiers & boarders could venture into areas often too intimidating due to their off piste nature.

Windchill and surface visibility were still an issue up high but the dry windblown powder was worth it.

By late afternoon the wind was still carving up the slopes. Some areas were very hard packed while fresh pockets of windblown could still be found.

The forecast is for more snow in a couple of days. With the hoilday crowds filling every bed in the village some top-up of snow will be welcome by then.
