August in September

What a great week of weather. Following the weekend blizzards we have had clear blue skies all week and the temps have been reasonably kind to the snow pack although the off piste has continued to pack down.

The groomers have been doing a magnificent job and with non-existent crowds lift access has been fast and easy with the exception of some wind hold on Kosi Express yesterday.

The wind blown off the Bluff and Cannonball was deep and soft yesterday and extended way down onto the bottom of True Blue.

Today the groomers were best and Little Beauty and True Blue had soft carving corduroy from top to bottom.

Did a run down to Dead Horse Gap before noon and found the snow pack mostly firm except for those places that have had little to no sun exposure.

There is a cold front forecast for Friday and another on Saturday but at this stage there doesn't seem to be much in either.
