Not Much To Add

The weather has been foggy the past few days with the odd break of sunshine and blue sky. Most airflow appears to be coming from the southeast and the humidity has been high but the temperatures consistently low. There has been very little wind, even up high.

The forecast dump has not yet arrived and this morning the bureau and others had revised their estimates of what was / is coming.

The cover is great and the grooming has been exceptional. There have been light snowfalls over the past few days but nothing to fill in the bumps that are building off-piste. The on-piste has been my favourite this week and with the crowds less than expected, a few fast runs can be snatched early in the morning – it is just the mizzle (mist drizzle) on the goggles that makes high speed runs somewhat more exciting.

Excuse me for not taking on-slope photos, a misty lens doesn't work.

The forecasts are for snow over the weekend down as low as 700m on Sunday. The maps look good to me. I don’t know about the altitude but I’ll go for significant snowfalls before Tuesday.

I notice that the KT web site precipitation gauge is once again operational. Hadn’t any one else noticed that it had been busted?
