Rain And Sleet, Wind And Cloud And A Little Snow
I was awoken yesterday morning at 5:00 to the sound of heavy rain. Luckily it did not persist through the day but very few ventured out onto the slopes.
Overnight the high humidity and cloud sitting on the mountain soften all but the most tenuous of the hard icy patches. I would have stayed inside again if it weren’t for the call to partner a great friend in the Peter Moulos Cup and the Chris Pegus Challenge ski races.
The combined events consisted mostly of locals and a quantity of Ouzo. A good time was had by all and Kareela Hutte didn't know what had hit it when many of the race contestants appeared out of the cloud for a late lunch.
Lifts closed today due to wind included: Kozi Express, Basin & Karels T-bars, Cruiser Quad, Sponars & Antons T-bars.

The weather maps look good. There is still a good base in most parts. Fingers crossed for a big weekend.
