Short & Ugly

I wish I had better news. The weather has been very pleasant but ...
I heard the guns this morning and it appeared as though the Upper Supertrail was getting a cover, especially around BunnyWalk station so, having not bothered to go out with skis since last Sunday, I rushed out for the 8:30 chair on the Slowbums Express. Let me put it this way: I had 5 runs on Saturday and 5 on Sunday but only 3 today and that was probably 2 too many.

My estimation was that there was 0.002m (2mm) of fresh man-made over I don't know what. I hit stone on each run and I didn't repeat the same turn twice. With numerous classes on the limited terrain I found myself back in the office at 9:30am.

I see that the double cold fronts are still scheduled to hit on Thursday (tomorrow) with reasonable natural snow falls forecast for Friday and into Saturday. No, I won't be going out tomorrow and will only think about Friday if at least 10cm has fallen and even then I will be damned careful where I place my rutted and gouged rock hoppers.

You may have heard the somewhat disparaging alternate name for the trail called Sundowner as 'SunBrowner', well now we think we have an equally disparaging and appropriate name for Sundance being 'SunGreener' ;-) Take a longer look my first photo. You never could do much with it's original name 'Lovers Leap Bypass'.

Looking forward to deep and fresh on the weekend. So, does this make me a glass-half-frozen or a glass-half-melted sort of personality?
