Winds of Change

A howling gale is blasting the slopes of Thredbo. Although the sun is out and skies are blue the wind chill feels well below -25C.

There are small pockets of wind blown but mostly the slopes are very hard packed and wind scoured. Antons was the first lift to go on wind hold but I would not be surprised to see more follow.

Merritts Falls is a blur of blowing snow

Friday Flat school groups were oblivious to what was happening on top of the mountain

The good news is that the wind has dried out the snow and is bringing a change in the weather.
