Another Week Another Story

A lot has happened in the past week, some good, some bad, some new, some sad. There has been thunderstorms, wind, rain, sun, cloud and a lot of smoke from fire-reduction burn-offs.

The South Care chopper dropped by during the week for a local pick-up. Get well soon Sam.

Great news for all culinary buffs, Jean-Michel and Georgia will be running Knickerbocker (previously Credo) restaurant from June.

Speaking of restaurateurs: I hear that Dave and Penny (previous operators of Eagles Nest Restaurant) are returning to the area.

Daf and mates have been spending the weekend demonstrating how to fly-fish. Why you would want to fish for flies is something I fail to understand but if it helps reduce the number of flies, then great ;-)

And this report's photos come from opposite sides of the planet:-

Marion has been in France partly for business partly to ski - photos below.

Acacia & Peter and crew from K7 Adventures went out back on Friday to discover and test some new climbs in the Ramsheads area - photos from Acacia below.

Maintenance on the lifts continues. Kosi chair is open on weekends only - until it closes for a few weeks after the 2013 Thredbo Jazz Festival (May 3-5). Snowgums chair is trying hard to help out during the Kosi down times.

Temperatures are dropping but no snow yet, although it might be close to happening next week. I'm sure the mountain crew will be happy for it not to fall until closer to June - there's still a lot happening out there.
