What To Do When The Temp Goes Up And The Snow Goes Off?

Peter reports that it was warm yesterday but they had a magic shady tree face, which they accessed via snow mobile. Peter says they had a great day out with 30cm of untouched dry pow - enough for 6 of them to put in 10 runs each without crossing a line.

That may be a first for snow boarders - just kidding - we know there are both good and bad skiers and snow boarders alike :-)

Having your own personal over-snow transport can be a big advantage

It can take you from the lows to the highs

It can carry your gear and everyone else's ;-)

It can make for a bunch of happy campers

Which is good when you need extra hands on the shovel

And it makes for a good target when you're high on the mountain (no pun intended)

And it can carry your lunch - important when you need extra shovellers

It can take you anywhere you want to go ...

As long as you have a team of happy, well-fed shovellers ;-)

Don't miss yesterday's report of the great fresh snow only a couple of days ago in Rusutsu. There's so much happening in the late season, up in Rusutsu, that Peter has been providing me with a constant array of photos.

Having got over last week's mobile outage on the Optus back-bone, now my land line internet on the Telstra back-bone is running like a three legged dog, with one of those 3 legs tied behind its back. Is everyone abandoning Thredbo? At least Telstra recognise Thredbo's postcode, unlike Optus that doesn't believe we even exist.
