In less eventful news: we had a blackout in Thredbo, just after midnight, along with thunder and lightning. This morning we have no internet or mobile service. Ah, life in the clever country - or should that be 'the lucky country', where you're lucky to have any of these new fangled technologies like phone or internet working. I guess you get what the others voted for. No wonder the education system is kept in such a disgraceful mess - you wouldn't want the youngsters to realise how backward our country really is.
News Update: I've just heard that the technology break down has affected a wide area of NSW. Jane reported from Jindaberganhofen that supermarket could only accept cash but the banks were down so no one could get cash - Catch 22 and an insight into the future of this clever country of ours.
I've got some shells stashed away somewhere.
