Getting Started in Japan

Peter has sent me some photos of an old chair lift in Rusutsu that is only used early in the season before the snow pack swallows it up.

The first 3 photos were taken at the end of last season (when it was well and truly swallowed up) and then the last 2 photos were taken yesterday as this season just gets started.

Lucky Phil - only 3 weeks to wait. The snow pack should be great by then with more snow forecast and an end to the rain that had been following each snow fall.

Stay tuned for further updates from Peter and Andrea.

Oh, and in Thredbo the weather has been cool but not as cool as Hokkaido cool, although there is a possibility of a snow fall in Tasmania next Tuesday :-)
