Riding For The Future Of Kids
The annual Snowy Ride was held this weekend and brought with it a record 3043 entrants - that's a lot of chrome and leather in Thredbo, whilst raising a huge amount of $s for fighting children's cancer.
The weather was perfect - warm (in Thredbo terms ;-) and sunny with just enough breeze to keep the flies away. Even the evening was mild by past Snowy Ride comparisons - no rain, no snow, no howling gales nor freezing temps.
The Brewster Brothers (aka The Angels) put on a wonderful concert last night - enjoyed by a good-sized crowd.
Once again a well organised and well run deserving charity event, which would be nothing without the big hearts of so many bikers enjoying the winding highways and byways of the Snowy Mountains.
The Snowy Ride culminates with the Grand Parade
The guests of honour are the children for whom the event is run
The crowds of spectators took to every vantage point
And the bikes and children kept on coming
With masses of bikes lining the roads through Thredbo
Gold Wings and side cars were in big demand
Thousands of motor cycles cruised into Thredbo Village
The Brewster Brothers started with some of their more haunting works
Whilst the crowd grew and grew
Finally finishing off with their earliest Angels rock favourites
