Trivial Bells
I sit here tapping away at my keyboard and the Bells Are Ringing in my ears. The bells (fire alarms), upon investigation, are not in my building but are in either Alpine Apartments or Mowamba Apartments.
Wednesday night in Summer, in Thredbo, is trivia night. Many arrive at the Lounge Bar for a weekly trivia competition. By the time span of ringing bells, I suspect that the fire brigade might be there too.
No alarm, there is no smoke, not even a whiff of fire but the bells continue. Being a reasonably hot evening in Thredbo, my balcony doors are open and the bells are all pervading. It reminds me of that Monty Python sketch on the album that was later banned – yes some of you will know what I’m talking about ;-)
Rosco has been having a foggy time. Not sure if it is due the amount of Asahi beer being consumed or the weather. I suspect both.
Many a friend is currently overseas and many more are going in the next week or so. What of Traktorman you ask? Well he is currently in Mexico and I believe without his skis. Marion was last known to be in Italy but soon moving to France. The Chooks leave for Nth America very soon. Jax was last reported to be somewhere close to the South Pole (literally). Annie is in Wodonga - no snow there either and I am battling with the heat of Thredbo. It is said that as you age you feel the temperature more. Certainly seems the case here, as the maximum temp in Thredbo this January is still several degrees below the maximum of 2008. Must be that global warming again ;-)

As I now wrap up this report I can state that the bells have finally been silenced. I wonder if the next trivia question might be about ringing in the ears?
Have I mentioned that I have a studio apartment in Squatters Run for sale? $429,000 with storage, balcony, views and off street parking. Make me an offer before it's too late. Get settled before the next winter in Thredbo right in the heart of the village - personal boot and ski lockers, everything you need, fully furnished, ready to go.
