Winter Snow, Summer Snow, Country Show
Wow, what an amazing couple of days. The Thredbo Blues Festival (so I am reliably informed) was great, whilst I enjoyed a peaceful weekend on the south coast and got to see my first Candelo Show with Annie. This local, annual event was wonderful in its simplicity and local content. We were all truly lucky to have an overcast and cooler day than had been happening earlier in the week.
Meanwhile it has been "going off" in Niseko. Rosco reported 2 metres of fresh powder in 3 days. The last fall of 80cm had Rosco doing what he calls "Bugs Bunny Tunnelling" and at one stage travelled some 40m under snow before resurfacing. Yep, some more great photos from Rosco below.
But that's not the end of the news. It snowed in Thredbo this morning and continued to snow on and off till around midday. There was enough of a drop in temperature and enough snow to actually allow the snow to settle and accumulate on the ground in the village. There's that global warming again ;-)

Cool temperatures are forecast for the next few days in Thredbo. They won't be hard to take. There is no longer any sign of today's short but sweet snowfall as I complete this report. May be we will get more tonight - Rosco certainly is.
The Thredbo Players will perform in the Thredbo Community Centre this evening. 6:30 for 7pm start.
