Shaken Not Stirredspeare

Monday was the premier night of the Thredbo Players' twisted version of Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew'.

Performed on the Village Green to an enthusiastic crowd (about 50% locals) this was a very, very entertaining evening. Starting in the late afternoon sunshine, the show continued through mosquito feeding hour and into the night.

Yes, that's right, mosquitos in Thredbo. I hadn't encountered them before. Something to do with the amount of rain and the high ambient temperature.

Taming of the Shrew in on again on the next two Mondays in Thredbo at 7pm - take your own dinner, drinks, friends, rug or seat and a few gold coins to help support these amateurs in putting on a very funny show.

For out-of-towners, the play is also on again on Feb 1st at Jindy Sailing Club and Feb 2nd at Cooma Little Theatre.

Blues is on this weekend - just so much entertainment all in one place.
